Designer Qaniwi receives a joint master from Malaysia and Italy and is preparing to publish his new book "Traditional decorations in Hadhramaut"

Graphic designer Mr. Yaser Qaniwi holds a master's degree from Rome University of Fine Arts in Italy; it's a joint master's program with KDU University College (KDU) in Malaysia.

 

Qaniwi, a photographer interested in documenting and studying heritage, is preparing to publish his new book "Traditional decorations in Hadhramaut".

 

The book, which is ready to be issued, is one of the first books to provide a deep and detailed study of the visual artistic heritage of Hadhramaut, which is represented in the traditional decoration.

 

Mr. Yaser pointed out that the book is supported by more than 370 pictures and graphics and is located in 420 colored pages, adding that the decorations were divided according to the materials found in it, wood, buildings, texture, human figures, wicker, and pottery, etc.

 

The book is expected to be issued by the end of this year 2019.

 

Mr. Qaniwi holds a bachelor's degree in graphic design from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Yarmouk University in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
